We had a truly authentic ryokan experience at Suirinso. The simple yet clean and bright room added to the charm. The onsen was a highlight, and we enjoyed following the Japanese protocols. The best part was the amazing breakfast - the best we had in Japan! I highly recommend this hotel.

The traditional style room with tatami mats was a great experience, and the yukata provided added to the overall feel. The free ice cream and coffee were a nice touch. The location, while a bit of a trek, offered beautiful views of the surrounding forests.
The cleanliness of the facility was a bit lacking, with dusty floors and some mold on the paper doors. This may not be a place for those with high cleanliness standards.

Had a great Easter stay at a hidden gem in the mountains. the staff was super friendly and accommodating. I loved that they provided hair straighteners and even had free ice cream for the kids. the location was perfect for exploring the area, just a few minutes walk from the main transport hub and attractions. It was great to wake up to the lush forest views from our room and terrace.
The wifi in the lobby was slow and there was no room wifi, but we were able to disconnect and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. the onsen could use a bit of cleaning and updating, but overall it was comfortable and a nice way to relax after a day of sightseeing.

We felt right at home at Suirinso. The amenities provided were outstanding, including hair brushes, toothbrush & toothpaste, shampoo, soap, and even a 3-step facial skin care regimen! We were impressed by the attention to detail. The Japanese robes in various sizes were a nice touch. Complimentary tea, coffee, and ice cream made us feel pampered, and we enjoyed borrowing DVDs and books during our stay. And the view of the mountains was absolutely breathtaking!
